Brief personal introduction: I teach English and History at Bonduel High School. Next year's courses include Honors English 9 and Honors English 10, UWGB Speech, and U.S. History.
Overview of content/topic level of unit plan:
Subject - U.S. History; Grade level - 9th grade
Topic - Abraham Lincoln
The project idea—In this project, the students will conduct research, complete and discuss a Visual Ranking survey, complete and discuss a Showing Evidence project, and finally create a photo essay that assesses the impact of Abraham Lincoln’s legacy; however, students will complete these requirements in the role of a chosen individual or group during that time. The ultimate goal is for students to creatively combine images, sounds and words into a compelling story about the impact of Lincoln’s sudden death and his enduring legacy.
